Why is it that pretty much all millionaires have big huge mansions?

I know that they have money to spend, but if i were them i would buy a semi-big house and and just spend a lot of my money on really nice things for the house
i seems pointless to live in a house with 8 bedrooms and only having 3 people to be living there.

It looks like you can get something really nice for under a million there. That usually takes two incomes, but many many people own homes in that price range.

There are many plantation type homes you can visit in several key Southern Cities. You should go to Savannah, Georgia and to Charleston, South Carolina for starters. Even New Orleans has a lot of beautiful plantations. In fact, most Southern towns/cities have old plantation homes that will be on what’s called the “historic register”. What I would do is go to your web browser and simply type in “Southern plantations” and you will be directed to hundreds of websites for these. Have fun and remember to take lots of pictures!!

Can a dog with bloodline mange be cured or give treatments ? PLEASE HELP ! ! ! ! !?

If it can be cured what would I use and about how much will it cost ?
I have a two year old Chica-pom & she loses her hair in one spot on her back about every two months. We took her to the vet when we first noticed it & they said that it was possiably bloodline mange & to give her steriods & it would be cured by the time she was two years old. She will be three in June & we are still having the same problem. We give her steriods when she loses her hair but we can’t give them to her much cause the vet said it will slowly eat her stomach away. I hate to have to give her something like that but I don’t want her to lose all of her hair. I really need to find a way to get rid of it cause my daddy said that if she doesn’t get any better in the next six months we are going to have to get rid of her. Im an animal lover & can’t stand to see my puppy go through this. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ? ? ?

I’m assuming that you are talking about demodectic mange?? Was a skin scraping done to confirm this diagnosis? The use of steroids has been shown to aggravate the condition because they work by suppressing t he immune system.

This mite usually only causes issues with young or ill dogs; ones with a suppressed immune. The best way to boost the immune system is to feed a high quality meat based diet (raw is best) and NO grains or carbohydrates.

Do some research into raw diets as many people have been successful in banishing the mites by changing to these more natural diets.

That sounds more like an allergy than mange. Have the vet test her for allergies

Some questions about mange?

Okay so i have read a million things on mange. I know there are two types and one is contagious and one is not. I know about how it looks and affects the dog. BUT i don’t know about how humans get it. My vet said for example if the dog ran in my house on accident and was all over my sofa i cant get it. But with me holding him and such i can. Well i have only touched the dog 3 times without any gloves because i am a germ freak. I have to give him meds twice a day and a shot every two weeks by the vet. So im on a roll in getting rid of it. But i have other dogs and need to know about how the cant get it and how i can and cant get it. Thanks.

By the way i found the dog on a friday night when it was like below freezing it felt like…he looks like a dobe.
The vet did a scrap test and because i had already washed him because i felt bad for the little guy he couldnt figure out exactly which type of mange it was or if it was just a bacterial infection…

The dog species of sarcoptic mange can TEMPORARILY infect humans. Usually
the itchiness from this lasts about three weeks, or less. The mite can’t
live in humans, so it dies. If the dog remains in the household and remains
infected it can continue to give its owners new mites, though — so the
itching can last longer because there is a constant new supply of mites.
Cortisones are sometimes used to reduce the inflammation and itchiness. It
is not necessary to kill the mites because the are going to die, anyway.

The human species of sarcoptic mange is contagious between people and is a
problem in settings like nursing homes where it can spread pretty rapidly
through the resident population in some cases. It is often referred to as
scabies.

Many dogs that are being bitten by fleas do not have fleas that can be
found on an examination. This is especially true of dogs that are allergic
to fleas. Why? Because the dogs are very very good at finding the flea and
ingesting it. They know they are being bitten and they know where they are
being bitten when they are sensitive to the bites. This is even more true
in the case of cats, who are also equipped with a barbed tongue and
extraordinarily flexible bodies to help in capturing the fleas. So I
wouldn’t rule out flea bites just because you can’t find fleas. Many client
also say “If my house had fleas, I would know it” but they are wrong. Fleas
like to live on pets if possible. They attack humans when their favorite
targets are unavailable.

It wouldn’t be possible to tell you whether sarcoptic mange, flea bites, or
another problem is leading to the symptoms you are seeing but it would be a
really good idea for your daughter to use Frontline (TM) to kill fleas (and
possibly even sarcoptic mange mites) that MIGHT be infesting her dog.
People seem to have a hard time believing that their pet might have fleas
even if they can’t find them but it is true.

If you continue to have problems with the rash it would be a good idea to
get your doctor to recheck you, too. (which I’m sure you have probably
already done!)

I took my puppy to the vet and was told he had sarcoptic mange. Could it be misdiagnosed?

The vet said at first he had demodex. After a skin scrape she said it was sarcoptic. However my other dogs are showing no signs and neither are myself, children,or husband. Is it possible she was wrong? The puppy is not loosing hair and is a bit itchy, but I bathed all dogs in lime sulfur solution which may have dried out their skin. If it is sarcoptic how can I get it off my furniture and carpet. *Note* I have suede furniture. Also how many treatments will it take to rid him of this. I contacted the breeder and her vet and all other puppies tested negative as well as mother and my dogs as well. He has had the dip and Revolution. Thanks for all help as I have never dealt with this. Oh, he is a Shar Pei and is prone to sensitive skin as well and 10 weeks old. Thanks!
I would like to thank everyone for their helpful info. My other dogs have tested positive and I had a skin scrape today (neg for scabies), but positive for dog allergy. We are working on it and I have put them on the dip (as the vet ordered previously) and Ivermectin. Along with antibiotic for my chi as her white blood cell count is up. Once again THANKS TO ALL for the help:)

If the vet said it was sarcoptic after a skin scrape, then yes, it is most definitely sarcoptic mange. He found the mites with the scrape.

This is actually better, as it’s easily treated. Demodex is not easily treated at all,

Typical treatment for sarcoptic mange is a series of ivermectin treatments, either orally or by injection, usually over the course of 3 -6 weeks. It’s very effective.

When my dog had this (she came home from the rescue with it) we did ivermectin injections and I was told to get a spray from the pet store to treat my house and car, and to keep her away from other dogs during the treatment phase. We were also told to use Benadryl for the itching early on.

Skin scrapes only find the mites about half the time, so negative skin scrapes on the other dogs don’t mean they don’t have it. If any of them seem unusually itchy, they should also be treated. Often, sarcoptic mange is diagnosed by treating it–if the treatment works, the diagnosis is confirmed. You were lucky the scrape found the mites on your dog.

is this okay to do for my dog?

So my mom and I came to a conclusion that my dog has mange because she has a symptoms and our vet did no give us a correct diagnose but like I said she has balding, flaking skin, balding spots, and itchy skin so I read online how to get rid of it and I read that borax and peroxide helps but you have to bath them but I was thinking I could mix borax, peroxide, and water in a spray bottle and just spray her down but then I was wondering if she was going to scratch her bum and she used her mouth if she will or get sick or even worse it can be toxic to her. shes a 12 year old black lab

I havent read up much on all natural ways to fix mange. However I know there is something they dip dogs in. Ask the vet. However go to a different vet to make sure that she does indeed have mange.. I cant belive the vet said she didnt have it the first time.

Have you seen footage of those HUGE tornadoes in Manitoba Friday and Saturday?

I sure have seen this footage!!! Crazy huh? Manitoba has been crazy weather central for awhile now. I live about 20 – 30 minutes away from Elie, Manitoba where the tornadoes hit Friday. I know people there and am glad to have heard everyone is well. The scary thing for me is, I was on my way home from Winnipeg at the time. I had just passed the area where the tornadoes were 20 minutes before they touched down. I definitely lucked out then. The tiny car I was in would have definitely been swept off the highway if caught in that.

Then Saturday night my family and I sat up late watching the weather to figure out if anything ominous was going to sprout up, meaning we should get our butts into the basement. We had a crazy lightning/thunder storm that lasted hours. I haven’t seen a storm like that in my life.

I have friends living in the area where the tornadoes were spotted Saturday night as well. Aaah craziness!

What does anyone make of that?

A manatee is a semitropical creature. They have never been known to swim farther norther than Georgia. This guy was swimming up the Hudson, in other words, going even farther north.

Actually, they have been spotted as far north as Rhode Island, and as hot as it is, it does not surprise me. I live on a canal in south Florida, and we have lots of manatee visits. So, New Yorkers, if you want to get a close look, run your hose into the water. Manatees love hose water, and will head for the sound of a hose run into the water. They love all greens, but particularly lettuce, and they are sweet , kind, gentle creatures that will trust anyone with a hose and greens. Be nice!

From what little I find Hugh Manatee is a character in a comic called odd-fish. What he does I have no idea. “oh the humanity” was a quote from a radio reporter who was following the Hindenberg landing.

I was in my canoe paddling downstream and saw a large ripple, about 2-3 ft high heading towards me, spreading out for 15-20 feet. As I went past the wake, I saw what I first thought was a huge turtle, as a hump became evident. I put on my electric motor and circled, keeping a distance of twenty feet away. No head, no tail, no dorsal fin, and the hump was not a shell, but a smooth, mottled mound. Whatever it was never turned, never dived under, never varied its speed, which was whatever the lowest speed on my motor was. I kept with it for almost twenty minutes. Finally, I had to go back in and no one I talked to about this can think of what it could be. Just read about a manatee in the East River in NY and I realize that the manatee would be much more likely to be on the east coast instead of inland Indiana but….? PS I’ve considered it may have been some ghastly mechanized hoax but , once again….?

Generally, all the “wayward” manatees I’ve heard of usually head out of Florida and go up the East Coast. I’m not sure what crazy route your “manatee” would have had to take. It sounds pretty improbable, though.

I had a dream of a manatee Biting me.?

I was with this family I did not know them i could see their faces but they were not clear to me either. We at the ocean but there was a big highway over it. There were restaurants around us as well it seem that the roads would make box around body’s of water too. I think in my dream i either flew or i was in a plain because when we went over the water we had chosen to stay by i could see a crashed plain in it. the plain was red and white it looked like it was something recent.Any way the family was a husband and wife and their little boy and girl.

I didn’t go into the water being that i’ve always had an issue about going into the ocean. The husband told them that they should stay out of the water . They didn’t listen. It was like that could contain themselves and just jumped in and swam. He had to go in after his wife who had went in first to bring her back in. Then the kids went in. He yelled after them to come back that it was very dangerous, that there were stowls in the water. From beginning i was thinking since there restaurants near by that there would be sharks. He didn’t mention that at all. I understood him when he said stowls but i didn’t know what they were.

the kids finally came back.We were siting at the edge i guess i had my feet int he water and i was actually enjoying my self under the sun. I felt this pain in my foot i can’t remember which it was i’m thinking it might have been my right foot. I looked down and had seen the little head biting my foot i looked up in front of me and its body was huge! Immediately could see it was a manatee. I have never thought they were dangerous nor have i been scared of them. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t see it’s teeth but i could feel that they were big the manatee wouldn’t let go so i kinda grabbed the top of it mouth and tried to open it’s mouth it seemed to had a hard time biting it off so i had some time. My hand hurt i guess it got stuck in its mouth but i got it out. I tried again but my foot didn’t hurt so much any more and finally i got my foot out of the manatees mouth and i jumped up and ran to the side walk.

The Manatee jumped up on the ground where we were siting but he had just put it’s chest up an it’s fins i think it kinda looked like a seal now a big one. When he plopped him self up he just stared at me like i was all it wanted i felt like it was going to go after me so i ran to one of the restaurants and jump up on the desk and i yelled saying that it was coming after me i was crying no one seemed scared of the manatee but me it was only interested in me. I can’t remember exactly what happened but then i guess it went into the water irrigation for the restaurants i didn’t want it to get hurt because there was a fan in the water that pushed every thing out into the ocean.

i went in there and i didn’t have an issue with the water and i wasn’t panicking about breathing which happens often in my water dreams. the ocean and the water i was swimming in was clear and i guess i had led it to the fan and someone unscrewed the fan so that it could leave and thats when i had woken up.

Its crazy i know but it makes no sense. I haven’t had a dream of an animal or animals and water attacking me for about a week . I have had one with dragons wanting to eat me and was looking for just me and a raccoon and some other things oh a shark that i thought was going to eat me it was a baby threw it in the garbage i could hear it struggling to breath couldn’t let it die so i threw it back in the ocean. I don’t understand why all the animals want to attack and eat me even had one with a bunch of alligators and jiminy cricket from Pinocchio who went to get me help.

I’m pregnant by the way if this helps with understanding sorry it’s so long.

I think is a fun dream full of suspense and I think the manatee is something who is really trying to help and protect you.
The father of the family had a dreadful fear of the water but it seemed when the manatee made contact with your foot it was actually a healing thing. Why is it illegal to catch a manatee?

I actually caught one a couple of years ago while we were fishing in Florida. Man, they may be fat but he put up one hell of a fight. We had to club him to put him down after we got him next to the boat. I thought it was some kind of huge fish but Rusty said it was a manatee and we were all gonna get thrown in prison so we managed to get it loaded in the truck and hauled-a** back home. I always wondered what the people at Waffle House said when they opened up their dumpster and saw that thing laying there. Why is it illegal to fish for them? Are they endangered?

im 14 years old and i weigh 126 lbs and i have man boobs i have about 3-4 cm of fat on my chest that i want to get rid of.. my nipples are puffy but my doctor says that its part of puberty and will go away in about a year. i eat healthy and about 900-1100 calories a day and i go running 3 times a week for 30 minutes… how long will it take to get rid of about 3-4 cm of fat on my chest?

p.s i know that it isnt breast tissue because it is soft and squishy like fat

Men tend to be broad-chested, so don’t be too alarmed. It could be snug simply because you are “wider” than her so to speak. Now, in the event you actually have somewhat less-than-ideally-firm pectoral muscles, keep up the good work- it sounds like you’ve been making good progress with your exercise regime. Just be sure to watch out for sugars and fats in sweets- those can trip you up.

The best thing as a caring sister you can do is talk to your brother, explain your concerns and allow him to make the mistake he will make. Beyond that all you will do is create a rift between him and you. I think that is your best bet. All you can do is just let him know and let it go at that. After all, he is with her and should already know the best and worst sides of her. At least by talking to him you will cause him to start watching his back some. Remember, relationships are built on communication and trust. As long as they are talking and he trusts her and she has not given him a reason to do anything else, all you can do is make your stand look bad. Good luck.

Right here’s the deal. My boyfriend and I have been going out nearly 1 year. He has never been that into porn before because it apparently looks ‘fake’. Umm if this isn’t a troll, this is worrisome. It doesn’t seem like any of this was out of your own desire. Your girlfriend has some issues. Does she really want to be with a woman deep down? Or a transvestite? Either way she doesn’t want to be with a normal guy, which you are.

I don’t know, maybe she is opening up a whole new exciting world to you that you wouldn’t have discovered out of your own inititative. Maybe you are finding that you are truly happy doing this.

Either way, you need to make the decision based on your own desires, not hers. This is really really really not normal. There’s nothing wrong with transgender people, or transvestites. But if that’s not the way you feel in your heart then there is something wrong with it.

No, they don’t. In fact, women are actually born with all the eggs they will ever produce- they just wait until puberty to be ready to be fertilized. To allow people who undergo a sex-change operation to produce the opposite thing- sperm/egg- would most likely need a change at the genetic level. Work on the diet, the weight lifting (every few days) and the cardio (which could be done daily). Also, if you can – switch up your exercises so that your body doesn’t get too used to doing just one thing… Keep your body on it’s toes.

im 5’8″ wieghing 58 kgs.
it all started with myself joining the gym.
i concentrated myself in building up the chest.
after having a good built up chest, i left the gym.
now i have joined a college hostel for my studies.
there is so such gym accessories as up now.
for the last 4-5 months i’ve not been to the gym.
my boobs have got loose.

But when i change my hair style it changes the shape of my face. When i have curly hair tied back my face looks rounder than then i have straightened hair!

Before surgery I had what I consider a nice skinny oval-ish shaped face. After surgery my face is all puffy and round. My whole body has gotten bigger but my weight hasn’t changed much .I also have to take steroids so this might be having an affect on my body shape.
So is there anything I can do to make my face go back to its original shape or should I just wait and see if it goes back to normal? The surgery was only 1 month ago…

It’s the steroids, and that is a side effect. They actually call it “moon face”. I don’t know if you’re on prednisone, but it can cause your appetite to increase, and it also makes your face look puffy and round. This is something you will have to deal with unless you are taken off of the steroids.

I have been going to the gym 5 to 6 days a week, doing cardio everyday and strength training 3 times a week. I have lost 5 pounds. I am a female 17 years old and weigh 128 now and Im 5′ 3″. I use to weigh 133.

First of all, I haven’t lost as much as weight as I think I should since I have worked out a lot for the past 4 months. I also eat well, lots of vegetables fruits and whole grain and lean protein. I eat about 1500 calories a day and when I work out, I try to burn 500 calories.

I can tell I am losing the fat and getting a bit more toned. But my face is still pretty chubby. I wasn’t always chubby, but when I gained a lot of weight in the past year, my face also gained some fat. But now that I see my body changing, my face isn’t at all. There are days it look even fatter. I know its not all in ny head because others notice.

So I look fat because of my face…. I don’t want to do.

How can I lose weigh faster? I know that’s the only want to lose face fat as well…. but I work out. a lot and eat a healthy diet.

I‘m really losing hope. I feel like all my hardwork isn’t getting me anywhere….

Please help….

Muscle weighs more than fat, and working out will slim you down then build you up slowly in muscle. Don’t worry about it just keep working out. You may want to eat more calories especially since you are working out (2000 calories) you lose a lot just walking around during the day, working out can burn a lot, but if you have none to burn not a lot happens to the body.

Will my gynecomastia go away?

I’ve noticed small firm lumps, the size is somewhere between nickel and quarter, directly under both my nipples since I was 12-13. My nipples are normal sized, but when they’re soft they are puffy. When they’re hard, it doesn’t really look like i have gynecomastia.

Now I’m 16, and my nipples are as described above. I don’t think the puffyness came until i was 14ish though, so is there any chance that my gynecomastia will go away? I heard that 90% of pubertal gynecomastia goes away in 3 years, and it’s been about 3 years…

Oh, and I’m not fat/over weight either (i’m 6’1″ and 150 pounds)

Well, at the age of 16 you are still experiencing those fun years of puberty (surges and fluctuations in sex hormones which result in secondary sex characteristics). The size is does not sound worrisome and what you described is quite common. There’s certainly a chance that it will go away. Some guys just have a tad bit of it for their life.

If you really want a more certain answer and since unfortunately we’re in no position to examine and have a better look, your doctor is the best person to go to.

But personally, it doesn’t sound alarming or anything to worry about. You didn’t mention any warning signs such as continued increase in size or even lactation (which can show up in some endocrine diseases).

I’ve seen many teenage boys come in with the same complaint and concern that this feature they find so embarrassing may never go away. Well, all I’m able to tell you is that as long as you’re still in puberty with elevated hormone levels of which some can continue to rise as you mature sexually, gynecomastia is not uncommon at this age. Most guys after they grow into adulthood, it goes away.

But again, check with your doctor if you are really concerned about it. My guess since from what you described it sounds like a normal manifestation of puberty and your doctor will probably not prescribe anything and most likely will encourage you to let it take its course and most likely resolve on its own.
